THORNYBUSH GAME RESERVE
Set in the northeast of South Africa, Thornybush is a private game reserve to the west of Kruger National Park. At 200 square kilometres, Thornybush is a decent sized reserve, bordering Kapama Reserve and located closely to Timbavati Game Reserve. There are no fences between Thornybush and the neighbouring reserves and Kruger National Park, which makes it part of Greater Kruger ecosystem.
The landscape is a diverse mix of relatively flat thorn-scrub, with some smaller open grasslands and riverine forest.
There are fourteen camps in Reserve, most of which are relatively simple and competitively priced.
