The incredibly spacious dive deck has a fixed location for each diver’s tank and gear, with tanks refilled in place after each dive. There are several rinse tanks and a large camera room. Diving takes place from the three dinghies, all equipped with a radio transmission system and emergency oxygen kits. Each diver is provided with an ENOS homing device for the duration of the trip. Nitrox and Nitrox courses are available.
Safety is of the highest priority onboard the Amira, with no cost spared in ensuring the boat was fitted out and equipped to meet the highest safety standards. Amira is the first boat in Indonesia equipped with the electronic emergency and location system ENOS, a particularly valuable safety measure for guests when diving in strong currents. On board, there is extensive and highly specialised medical emergency equipment available. Amira takes particular pride in ensuring all crew members are professionally trained in necessary safety procedures.
To reduce the possibility of interruptions or emergencies, major equipment necessary for the running of the vessel is available in duplicate on board, including motor, generator, anchor vice, dinghies, compressor and water maker for drinking water preparation.
Your tour director, Bruno Hopff, is originally from Switzerland and speaks German, English, French and Indonesian. As the founder and co-owner of Amira, he has over seven years of experience living and diving in Indonesia and along with his crew, aim to deliver the highest level of service and hospitality on board.
