Northern Tanzania Safaris
With over 38% of its territory declared national park, game reserve, or conservation area land, Tanzania is home to some of the best game-viewing parks in Africa, from the legendary Ngorongoro Crater and it's 30,000 hoofed mammals, and the Serengeti's amazing migration of around 2 million wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson's gazelle, to the lesser known, nearby parks of picturesque Tarangire National Park with its annual elephant migration in the dry season, and Lake Manyara National Park with it's birdlife, tree-climbing lions and elephants.
We have a range of ways to explore northern Tanzania, from set date group departures driving round the circuit in a 4X4 with a guide, or luxury bespoke flying safaris in light aircraft.
Different seasons bring different spectacles; January to March see the migration in the southern Serengeti and around Ndutu, where up to 8,000 young wildebeest and zebra and born every day, much to the delight of the predators. June is rutting season, and the noise is incredible, July to November sees a series of river crossings as the wildebeest move from the western corridor into Kenya's Masai Mara, and then back.
