HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's biggest National Park, and also its most accessible, being only a 2 hour drive from Victoria Falls. This makes an easy add-on for those looking to visit Victoria Falls and have a proper wildlife safari as well.
Due its size, there are a large number of safari lodges to choose from when visiting Hwange, ranging from budget friendly to extravagant. However, no matter where you stay, you will be offered the same wonderful experience. Each safari in Hwange includes 3 meals per day, as well as 2 shared safari activities per day. Unlike many other game reserves in Africa, Hwange also offers night drives, so you have a much better chance of finding those seldom heard-of strictly nocturnal creatures, such as civets, genets and bushbabies.
Hwange is primarily famous for its large elephant population and for the birders, its large Ground Hornbill population. You also have the chance to see lions, leopards and the critically endangered African Wild Dog.
