The Pelagic Safari
Explore the open ocean, expect the unexpected.
We take you on expeditions throughout our different locations across Baja that allow you to discover beautiful landscapes, while being a true adventurer. Sharks, whales, marlin, mobula rays, mola-mola, sea lions, whale sharks, baitballs, tons of dolphins, and even orcas.
The pelagic safari is a full day out on the ocean, stating at 8AM and ending around 5PM. The adventure starts at the marina, where staff will welcome our guests. As soon as the waiver is filled and the first briefing is done, the participants will head to a brand new boat, the “Mobula”, a 32ft Intrepid with two 250hp Yamaha engines, to ensure safety and high speed for a better chance of pelagic encounters.
Although the vessel could easily handle a larger group, trips are limited to only 6 passengers, leaving plenty of space for maximum comfort both in and out of the water.
It is an adventure in the form of raw marine exploration, but that doesn’t mean it has to be uncomfortable.
During your trip, the crew’s job will be to pay attention to all the small details to ensure a great day regardless of wildlife interaction. Depending on a series of factors, you will cover a distance between 10 and 40 miles to get to the best location, while always looking for marine life along the way. Once you reach the spot, the engines will stop and the crew will use bait and attracting techniques to attract sharks and interact with them in their natural habitat. The process can take from 30 minutes up to 4 hours. Using years of knowledge and experience to increase the possibility of wildlife encounters. However, it is the open ocean where anything can happen. Even though the odds are in your favor, we cannot guarantee sightings and/or encounters, but hey, that’s what an adventure is all about.
Price: $250 per person.
