ENTEBBE, KAMPALA & LAKE VICTORIA

​Kampala is the capital city of Uganda, while Entebbe is the biggest city. Both cities are located close to the shores of Lake Victoria, the biggest lake in Africa. Entebbe is where the international airport is located, and its proximity to Kampala which means that all Uganda safaris usually start and end in one of these cities.

From our visit to Lake Victoria and surrounds, we have first-hand knowledge of the hotel options and below you can find the ones we most commonly use. Those include mainly our favourites sorted from low-key to deluxe, which are usually smaller guest houses and boutique hotels with very personalised service, but also some bigger places, if they are still part of the best options available.
