Dewi Nusantara Liveaboard in Indonesia was launched in 2008. The magnificent Dewi Nusantara set new standards of comfort, design, space, service and safety for liveaboards in Indonesia. With an overall length of 57 metres, this three-masted topsail schooner moves with a grace and stability that only larger sailing vessels can offer. Up to 18 guests can be accommodated in eight spacious staterooms and one extraordinary master suite, all air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms. The wonderfully appointed staterooms are some of the largest to be found on any liveaboard and can be configured for either twin or double occupancy. The master suite, designer Bruno Helgen’s pièce de résistance, is undoubtedly one of the largest suites available on a liveaboard anywhere in the world. At a massive 46 square metres in size, the suite boasts a 180-degree view of the ocean from the stern, a view that you can even enjoy from the jacuzzi bathtub.
Dewi Nusantara’s amenities include delicious international and Indonesian cuisine, fine wines, onboard shop, TV and DVD player, sound system, spacious sun decks with loungers and hammocks, marine identification books, sea kayaks, massage treatments and internet connectivity. With a huge main dive deck and an indoor dive centre/camera room, Dewi Nusantara has plenty of room and never feels crowded, even with a full boat. Hot water deck showers are available for rinsing off after each dive.
The superbly designed camera room features workstations with multiple electricity outlets.
There large wash tanks on the main dive deck for you to rinse or soak your camera equipment after a dive and the water is changed daily. Dedicated camera towels are supplied on the dive deck and in the camera workshop for you to dry your gear, along with an air gun. All dives are carried out from the custom-built tenders. Nitrox, as well as 15 and 10-litre tanks, are available with advance notice.
