FEBRINA LIVEABOARD 3 to 11 September, Papua New Guinea
The FeBrina’s signature itinerary of Kimbe Bay, the Witu Islands, and Fathers' reefs provides an ideal range of subjects from wide-angles of colour-filled fans, whips, soft corals and sponges, large schools of pelagic fish, sharks and dolphins, to reefscapes of fish-covered hard corals, and super-macro close-ups of pygmy sea horses, squat lobsters, depressed spider crabs, nudibranchs and many other weird and wonderful molluscs and crustaceans. In the heart of the Coral Triangle, the world’s most bio-diverse marine region, this itinerary combines a perfect mix of sea mounts, reefs, walls and muck dives, with a beautifully intact World War II Japanese Zero fighter plane as a bonus. Add in great viz, easy diving conditions, up to 32 dives, and a Captain with 19 year's experience and knowledge and it's a total winner.

We had an opportunity to take a 5 day underwater photography course and my favorite photos are from that trip. Some were even taken during evening and night dives! A thousand thanks to the photographer-teacher, Christopher Bartlett, who really helped us understand our camera and how to use it AND had an enormous amount of patience with us both!!!! We really learned a great deal!

At last year's Excel dive show in London we were on the lookout for a practical underwater photo course. We had done a course a couple of years ago but that course focussed too much on theory, without turning it into practical application. As a result shooting underwater became increasingly frustrating. We were ready to put our equipment on e-bay!
We met Christopher and felt his approach could be the right one for us. The focus of the course would both be practical and targeted to our requirements.
We were not disappointed all! At the end of the week, we had significantly improved our skills in shooting underwater, so much so that we were now confident to show our pictures to others, divers and non-divers.
A big thanks to Christopher for getting us this far. If you are looking for practical course with quick tangible results we highly recommend this course.
