Kenya Safari Itineraries

These Kenya itineraries represent examples of mid-range to luxury safari accommodation, suitable for families, solo travellers and the discerning safari go-er. 1. 5-day Kenya Signature Safaris Rift Valley & Masai Mara

2. 5-day Signature Masai Mara Breakaway

Ideal for those seeking an authentic safari experience but don’t have much time. Lake Nakuru offers one of the great bird spectacles when around two million lesser flamingos grace the lake with their beautiful pink plumage and both black & white rhino can be spotted on the lake shore. Add to that the iconic Masai Mara which offers consistent and varied predator sightings such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, bat eared fox and jackal and various species of gazelle including topi and eland can be found grazing in close proximity to large herds of buffalo and elephant.

3. 5-day Explorer to Amboseli and Tsavo West & East

For the person who wishes to experience a safari before relaxing at one of Kenya’s stunning beaches and resorts.  Amboseli at the foot of Africa’s highest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro combines well with Tsavo West & East to offer diverse and rugged landscapes filled with an abundance of game.  In Amboseli the waters flowing from Mt. Kilimanjaro feed the network of marshes on which the abundant wildlife and birds of the park rely for their survival and where you will often encounter its huge herds of elephants bathing and feeding in the marshes. This safari offers excellent value starting with Lake Nakuru and its sea of lesser flamingos and also home to both black & white rhino. Then on to a memorable visit to the Maisai Mara with its boundless opportunities for excellent viewing of all predators including lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and their seeming limitless supply of prey of various species of gazelle, zebra and topi. It is also home to giraffe, large herds of buffalo and elephant. From Nairobi head north and across the equator to Samburu National Reserve which supports unique mammal species such as the beautiful reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, the desert-adapted Beisa oryx and the long-necked gerenuk that feeds on its hind legs in search of tall shoots. Elephant, lion and leopard are present. Then travel to Aberdare National Park for some relaxed game viewing from a tree lodge in the park.
